The Avalon Rangers
Cast of Characters
Good guys:
Professor Art- Civilian name used by King Arthur. As Professor Art he watches over the Isle of Avalon by taking groups of college students on archeological trips there. As King Arthur he is mentor to the Rangers.
Jared, Lord of Fire (Red Avalon Ranger)- 1st of 5 college students selected for this years trip to Avalon. Smart but a little in patient.
Katelyn, Priestess of Water (Blue Avalon Ranger)- 2nd student chosen by Professor Art for the trip to Avalon. She is very caring and has a strong sense of honor.
Sebastian, Lord of the Forest (Green Avalon Ranger)- 3rd student on Avalon. Steady personality. Once he’s made up his mind about something it’s almost impossible to get him to change his mind.
Toby, Lord of Energy (Yellow Avalon Ranger)- 4th student on Avalon. His mood is constantly changing depending on the vibes he gets from his surroundings.
Jessica, Priestess of Air (White Avalon Ranger)- 5th student on Avalon. Her will is very forceful and cannot be stopped.
Bad Guys:
The Dragon Lord- Dark god of the dragons. In ancient times King Arthur used the power of Excalibur to seal the Dragon Lord in a temple on Avalon to end his evil reign.
Scalers- Reptilian foot soldiers that the Dragon Lord creates from his common scales. While not all that powerful by themselves, in groups they are a tough enemy.
Armorites- Name for the class of soldiers Dragon Lord creates with his armored scales. These are the monsters the Rangers will have to face most often.
Weapons
Spirit Stones- Gems containing the power of Excalibur. These allow the Rangers to morph.
Dragon Guardians- The ancient dragons that opposed the Dragon Lord. They are Dragon of Fire, Dragon of Water, Dragon of Forest, Dragon of Energy, and Dragon of Air. In ancient times they infused their powers into Excalibur so Arthur could defeat the Dragon Lord. With the Spirit Stones released from the sword the Dragons live again.
Celtic Megazord- When in great need the Dragon Guardians can combine themselves into the Celtic Megazord. It’s finishing move is Fire Slash, an attack that harnesses the flame of all 5 Guardians’ breath into a powerful sword.
Basic Story
The story starts with Professor Art leading 5 college students into one of the ancient ruins on Avalon. While there Jared wanders off on his own despite warnings from Professor Art. He finds a sealed door and opens it. A huge gust of wind rushes from the doorway filling the ruin then vanishing out onto the Isle. Professor Art rushes to Jared realizing what just happened. The Dragon Lord has been freed.
Art enters the room Jared just opened. Inside there is a sword in a pedestal in the center of the room. The students all follow Art into the room. He pulls the sword as they watch. He reveals his true identity to them and tells Jared what he’s just done. He tells them he must go fight the Dragon Lord and reseal him.
As he leaves the room he realizes there is a problem. All the years of holding the Dragon Lord have drained Excalibur of most of its power. Arthur will not be able to fight the Dragon Lord until the sword rests.
Arthur knows the Dragon Lord will not wait idle until the sword is recharged. With no other options he releases the Dragon Guardians power from Excalibur. The power becomes the 5 Spirit Stones. The stones fly through the air and each hovers above one of the students.
Arthur knows the Dragons have chosen their masters. He teaches them how to harness the Stone’s powers to become the Avalon Rangers.
The quest to recharge Excalibur and seal the Dragon Lord has begun.
